Match In A Minute: Burnley 2-0 Liverpool
“Our decision making was not good”, Klopp said.

Liverpool fans had a torrid afternoon as they saw their side lose 2-0 to Burnley at Turf Moor in their second game of the season.
Vokes’ goal came after Liverpool full-back Nathaniel Clyne gave the ball away to Gray, who set his strike partner up to give Sean Dyche’s men the lead.
“How can I be happy with this?” The centre forward also drops in and they try to play rotational, popping the ball around.
He said: “The two [Burnley] strikers, Vokes and Gray, did really well, physically strong guys”.
“Burnley deserved to win with a very passionate performance”.
“We lost in a game in which we had in both halves about 80 per cent possession, but there are different ways to play football, that’s absolutely OK”. It doesn’t mean you should concede goals in these situations.
“I will watch the game again and I am pretty sure I will not see a lot of surprises in this game, I saw everything”. “Our timing and decision-making was not really good”.
The Reds travelled to Turf Moor full of confidence following their impressive display in the 4-3 win over Arsenal on the opening day of the season.
“We felt we could counter and press from the keeper, and both goals came from the keeper and a counter”.
“It was a hard game for us but in the decision-making we passed the ball in the wrong moments”.
He suggested that the first-half performance “was not for drawing self-confidence” and said that they “lost a little bit of timing and patience and all this stuff”.
“We spoke to the players about the realities of the division – they’re a fine side, make no mistake, they have players who keep the ball, their pressing”. Now we have to accept the result and carry on.
Meanwhile, Burnley boss Dyche was dismissive of the statistic of possession and pointed out that, as his team proved emphatically against Liverpool, it often has little bearing on the result of a game.
“It’s important psychologically to get your first win”, the Burnley manager told Sky Sports.

“It’s a myth that dominating possession wins you games”. But that doesn’t win you the game.
