Match Reports: Chelsea 1-2 Liverpool
“I’m guilty because I’m the coach and it means I have to work more”.

David Luiz has warned his Chelsea teammates that they will pay for every mistake they make in the Premier League this season after Friday’s 2-1 defeat against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge. “Actually, it was the same question somebody asked me here when we won 3-1, last time here against Chelsea”.
Henderson’s goal was a stunning strike from 30 yards, but it came from a poor clearance by Gary Cahill after Chelsea failed to deal with a throw-in.
The Brazilian was drafted into the heart of Antonio Conte’s defence due to John Terry’s injury but there was little he or anyone else in a blue shirt could do about the Liverpool captain’s curling 25-yarder.
Diego Costa scored Chelsea’s only goal of the match in the 61st minute from Nemanja Matic’s assist.
The defeat was Conte’s first since taking charge of the Blues and the former Juventus boss was disappointed with the two goals his side conceded.
“We have to reflect a lot on this game because it is important to understand the situation if we don’t want to repeat another bad season like last season”.
“We played football like hell, it was really nice to watch”, Klopp said in his post-match interview.
Despite having defeated last year’s champions Leicester, second-placed Arsenal, and now Chelsea, Jurgen Klopp is “not interested” in discussing Liverpool’s title chances yet.
Chelsea fought back to control most of the second half but Liverpool did have further opportunities – but it was Chelsea’s Diego Costa who grabbed a goal back. First half we didn’t have the duels, we didn’t have the second ball, everything was for them.

The goalkeeper told Chelsea TV: “We have said to ourselves that it’s a long season with many games left to play”. It was the most hard start – do you know a more hard set of fixtures in the whole world playing away against all top teams and we now have 10 points so everything is good for the moment’.
