“When Matt learned that D-Fish was at Gloria’s Los Angeles house on October 3, he drove 95 miles from Santa Barbara, California to “beat the sh*t” out of him” according to Page Six.

Barnes said he was at his home in Marina del Ray around 10 p.m. Saturday night when he got a text from his son Carter that made him nervous.
“Barnes was in Santa Barbara [at Memphis Grizzlies training camp] and heard that Fisher was in his house”, a source said.
A source told AP on Wednesday that the incident occurred last Saturday while Fisher was attending a gathering at the home of Barnes’ estranged wife, Gloria Govan.
He apparently succeeded, though Fisher does not plan on pressing charges and will not address the incident in public. The Knicks coach left the scene before police showed up, and Govan is planning to file a restraining order against Barnes, per the report.
Fisher’s newfound status with Govan comes months after he filed for divorce from his wife in March after 10 years of marriage.
Fisher missed the Knicks practiced scheduled for Monday, and it is unclear if it was because of the fight.
In 2010 Barnes was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence against Govan, according to the Post.
That the man was his former Los Angeles Lakers teammates and current New York Knicks coach, wasn’t the issue, Barnes said.
Barnes and Govan have been separated since about October previous year after marrying in 2012. And I think the course of our relationship is just due to evolution.
“We were friends”, Barnes told The Commercial Appeal.
