Matt Damon clarifies comments about gay actors
The “Bourne 5″ actor Damon further added that he was concerned about the careers of his fellow actors and don’t want them to follow the same fate like Rupert Everett who accepted his sexuality as gay in public due to which he failed to get good roles in the industry.

The “Interstellar” star’s denial of any racial statements come just weeks after he was pressured to explain remarks he made concerning racial diversity, on his HBO reality segment “Project Greenlight”. Then watch this absolutely brilliant clip of Matt Damon and James Cordon acting out all of Matt’s films in just eight minutes, with a little help from a few bad props and brilliant wigs.
“In an interview with The Guardian, Damon had a less than smart reply to the question, “…Is it harder for actors to be openly gay in Hollywood?”
“It’s painful when things get said that you don’t believe”, he said. “Look at so and so, ‘ because that’s the face and then your mind says, ‘I believe what you’re doing.'” She concluded, “I don’t think it has anything to do with how I view you as an actor”. Damon’s response is being referred to as a “non-apology” and a classic Hollywood “sorry-if-you-were-offended” response.
Now, Damon is in hot water again after he suggested that actors, both gay and straight, should keep quiet about their sexualities for the sake of their art. “And sexuality is a huge part of that”, he said. Whether youre straight or gay, people shouldnt know anything about your sexuality because thats one of the mysteries that you should be able to play’. “He did not. That sentiment simply does not exist in his words, context or no context”.

“And somebody picked it up and said I said gay actors should get back in the closet”. “Because in the blogosphere, there’s no penalty for just taking the ball and running with it”. “I know you and I know you’re not that guy”, she said. “People tell your business whether you tell your business or not.in terms of mystique and all of that stuff, you know, you used to be able to make that choice for yourself”.
