Actor Matt Damon, who suffered backlash for his comments on sexuality and actors being open about their orientation in Hollywood, has clarified his remarks on a TV show, reported The Guardian.
Matt Damon’s latest release The Martian is definitely doing great wonders at the box-office and the actor is surely being appreciated for his performance as well.
“I think it must be really hard for actors to be out publicly”, Damon, 44, said.
“It’s just like any piece of gossip…and it put us in a weird position of having to answer, you know what I mean?” Damon explained during an interview on Ellen DeGeneres’s USA talk show. Right?’ he told host Ellen DeGeneres.
Goldberg, however, disagreed with that notion as well, saying, “When you see a Marlon Brando movie, you know it’s Marlon Brando”. The actor thought it makes for a better actor the less people know about you. “And then it gets represented that that’s what you believe”, he added. “And sexuality is a huge part of that”, Damon, who’s been married to wife Luciana for a decade, said.
“Whether you’re straight or gay, people shouldn’t know anything about your sexuality because that’s one of the mysteries that you should be able to play”, Matt told The Guardian in an interview.
