Matt Damon, James Corden are knockouts with amusing race through actor’s career

But this weekend he arrives in theaters with Ridley Scott’s big piece of sci-fi spectacle, “The Martian“, and the actor will follow it up next summer with his yet-to-be-titled fourth adventure as Jason Bourne.

Damon also gave a cheeky nod to his roles in long-running film franchises like the “Ocean’s Trilogy” and “The Bourne Trilogy”. You’d probably have to go back to 2011’s “Contagion“, which even by the standards of smash hits, was fairly modest.

But that would all change and Matt Damon admits that he will say “YES” in the blink of an eye if a certain director asked him. “I went, ‘Oh my God, I look like an asshole, ‘” he told THR.

Before Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were Hollywood stars, they were just a pair of desperate actors shopping their thriller screenplay about a genius targeted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

But I’ve got a lot of love for Matt, especially his early work when I was an impressionable uni student, and I’m over the moon he’s returned to form in The Martian.

He said: ‘I don’t want to take that for granted.

He said, “I think it must be really hard for actors to be out publicly”. And he’s even had the hastag #damonsplaining trend lately after a few foot-in-mouth comments on gay actors. “Which is like, I mean, it’s stupid, but it is painful when things get said that you don’t believe”. If your job involves pretending to be someone other than yourself, it stands to reason that the less people know about what you are actually like the better.
