Matt Damon talks possible next Jason Bourne film: ‘It’s definitely open’
With estimated Friday ticket sales of $22.7 million, according to Box Office Mojo, “Jason Bourne” started the weekend in the No. 1 position, putting the Universal Pictures’ title on track to make around $60 million through Sunday. I was able to see it earlier this week and here are my thoughts on it. The fifth Bourne finds Damon back and brawling off-the-grid until he is contacted by the character played by Julia Stiles. He’s tasked by old friend Nicky Parsons (Julia Stiles) with stopping Central Intelligence Agency director Robert Dewey (Tommy Lee Jones) from creating an invasive surveillance program.

The 45-year-old actor is returning to play super-spy Jason Bourne after nearly 10 years away from the action franchise and agreed to reprise the role again because of fan demand.
Bourne is pulled back into the game and the game of cat and mouse is on. We have the popularization of shaky cam to blame on Bourne, and as much as we’d like to hold them up as the paragon of cerebral action flicks, they really do recycle the plot.
Then he was a pretty boy, a solid actor in dramas who was balancing being part of Kevin Smith’s entourage and a member of the modern Rat Pack. For more to know about the film stay tuned with us.
Disappointing compared to its predecessors, “Jason Bourne” is still a mildly involving romp that delivers a worthwhile bang for a matinee price. The story line of the movie also attracted a lot of public at the time of premier. All of the previous films had intrigue, mystery and tons of mesmerizing action scenes. “If Jason Bourne looks like he’s living well, we have no movie”.
Jason Bourne may not have opened to rave reviews in the vein of Universal’s original trilogy, but after pulling in a strong $4.2 million from Thursday night, Paul Greengrass’ franchise revival is all but set to enjoy a commendable opening weekend at the U.S. box office.

Fresh off the release of Jason Bourne, Emmy Award-winning actor Matt Damon sat down with Entertainment Weekly to discuss the film and the potential of more films being made in the Bourne franchise. Those in the mood for a simple action movie may want to see this one. The bottomless budget of the movie is a clear indication that the movie was created to hit the box office with its locations, extras and smashed cars during the Vegas trip.
