Matt Jones becomes top fantasy waiver pickup, remains hard to trust

Kirk Cousins got most of the attention for throwing four touchdown passes and compiling a flawless 158.3 passer rating, but that wasn’t exactly shocking against a terrible New Orleans defense that cost Rob Ryan his coordinator job.

“I think we all thought that we would be better than that, but this book hasn’t been written yet”. I don’t see him throwing 4 touchdown passes against the Panthers but he can be unsafe when he is hot.

His 131 receiving yards were the most by a Redskins running back since December 16, 1962 (Dick James, 140 yards).

– Kirk Cousins had the best game of his career on Sunday- but its what he did with the ball when the game was over that might have meant most.

“We can’t allow this to keep happening”, safety Kenny Vaccaro said.

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees said the team’s path to improvement will begin during the week-long break from practices before the next game November 29 at the Houston Texans.

“We didn’t do a whole lot well”, Payton said about his defense. Gruden said “I don’t have much to say on that”, but there is a chance that Galette could resign with Washington after his one-year deal expires after the season because there seems to be a mutual trust between the two. The Redskins have had a quarterback record a flawless first-half passer rating in each of their last two meetings with the Saints (Robert Griffin III, Week 1 in 2012). “We caught them in a defense we wanted to have them in and I give credit to my guard and center”, Jones said. On Sunday afternoon, Cousins wasn’t just those three as well as a game-ball achieving quarterback in a huge win over the New Orleans Saints, he was a great son as well.

Left tackle Trent Williams ran about 25 yards down the field to set a block, for a screen play designed on the right side of the field mind you, to create seal the last line of defenders with wide receivers DeSean Jackson and Jamison Crowder.

Seven plays later Cousins hit Reed for a 16-yard touchdown, capping Washington’s longest scoring drive since a 97-yarder in December of 2000 against the Giants. The New Orleans Saints might not be as dominant as they once were when winning the Super Bowl in 2009, but Drew Brees is still an elite opponent. He threw for 286 yards and two touchdowns in the first half alone.

Cousins and Brees traded touchdown passes to tie it at 14 before Washington took control.

The Redskins led 27-14 at halftime, their most points through two quarters in almost three years; they put up 28 against Dallas on Thanksgiving Day in 2012, back when Cousins was a rookie backup to Robert Griffin III.
