Matt Kenseth wins Pure Michigan 400

Matt Kenseth continued Joe Gibbs Racing’s hot streak Sunday by winning the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan worldwide Speedway.

Scott Steckly lapped all but second place finisher Marc-Antoine Camirand to win the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Wounded Warriors Canada 300 at Riverside global Speedway in Antigonish, N.S. It was Steckly’s third win of the season in the No. 22 Canadian Tire Dodge. Austin Dillon and Denny Hamlin followed Kenseth in the top five Sunday. “I got that one lead”.

“I don’t think we’ll be running this one again”, Edwards said.

Team Matt Kenseth won Sunday’s race from the pole, but given Busch’s previous four finishes at MIS (31st, 41st, 39th and 43rd), Sunday’s 11th-place run was the next best thing to a victory. At Michigan, Kenseth led 146 of 200 laps, so any excitement came farther back in the pack.
