Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on Wednesday sat down with TODAY Show host Matt Lauer during NBC’s presidential candidate forum to talk politics and national security, but neither Clinton nor her staff appreciated Lauer’s lackluster performance during Donald Trump’s portion, reports The Daily Beast. Hillary Clinton represented NY in the Senate for eight years and has lived in a home in the state for 16 years.

The comedian, 32, expressed frustration that the NBC journalist spent so much time asking Clinton about her email controversy that they had to rush through important questions about foreign policy.
Trump’s charge is that Clinton, a former U.S. secretary of state and former USA senator, has profited from a “rigged” political system.
Just as Trump was repeatedly underestimated during the Republican primaries, his aides say he is again being underestimated heading into the general election. Clinton was repeatedly challenged on her controversial email use at the State Department and her vote as a senator for the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
In Pennsylvania, Mrs. Clinton continues her lead, 44 percent to Mr. Trump’s 39 percent, in a four-way contest, but the race has tightened considerably.
“She is the corrupt establishment”, Trump said.
“National security experts on both sides of the aisle are chilled by what they’re hearing from the Republican nominee”.
Some of those Republicans will join Clinton Friday for what she dubbed a “working session” on the threat of terrorism.

Lauer’s performance during the event has been widely criticized by viewers, critics, and political pundits for botching the opportunity to get real answers on military and global relations from the presidential candidates. Two of those will be at the meeting with Clinton: former Homeland Security secretary Michael Chertoff and Richard Fontaine, a former foreign policy adviser to John McCain. Its new poll included 775 likely voters in OH, where Libertarian Gary Johnson managed double-digit support. And look how well I did with women tonight. But she defended her support for US military intervention to help oust a dictator in Libya, despite the chaotic aftermath.
After zealously greeting Trump’s arrival on stage with raucous chants, shrieks and cries, the supporters cheered as he accused Clinton of being a corrupt criminal who could shoot someone with impunity.
“It’s a war we shouldn’t have been in, number one”, Trump said in the interview. “That would have been a year after the invasion of Iraq”. He replied, “Yeah, I guess so”. He argued: “I opposed going in”.

Clinton was in D.C.at the time of the attack as one of New York’s senators.
