Around the world, hundreds of thousands of Catholics and Protestants are commemorating Good Friday, the day they believe Jesus Christ was crucified. The day is part of the Holy Week for Christians and is spent mourning Christ’s death.

Today is Good Friday, a commemoration of the torture, murder, and entombment of Jesus.

Since Easter represents the fulfilment of God’s promises to mankind, it is the most important holiday on the Christian calendar. His resurrection is celebrated on Easter Day or Easter Sunday (also Resurrection Day or Resurrection Sunday).
Essentially, Christians are celebrating Jesus Christ’s devotion to his followers and his willingness to die for their sins on Good Friday. “This is what you are to say to the Israelites: “‘I am has sent me to you”…” First Peter 3:18 reads, “For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God”.
He said the resurrection of Jesus Christ would mean nothing to them if Christians do not repent. They’re “holy” in the deepest sense of the word: They are “other than” our daily reality.

The biblical account of Jesus’ death on the cross, or crucifixion, his burial and his resurrection, or raising from the dead, can be found in the Scriptures. Before this supper, Jesus surprised his disciples by washing their feet, this task was normally done by a servant. We need to be ready because we do not know when Jesus will return. “Without that bad day of suffering, sorrow, and shed blood at the cross, God could not be both “just and the justifier” of those who trust in Jesus”. When we accept and have faith on Jesus as God and Savior, we will receive power from God Himself, which will set us up above all others!
