Mauricio Pochettino Provides Spurs Squad Update Ahead of West Ham Game
The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder played his first football since late August – and a nagging ankle problem – when he appeared in two World Cup qualifying matches against Tanzania, the second of which was on Tuesday.

As PSG weigh-up a potential future move for the midfield talent, Chelsea may be regretting letting the teenager slip through their fingers. Opportunities seemingly arrive as somewhat of a premium in the Premier League these days, so the current Spurs bench-warmer may need to act while he still has the chance…
Pochettino’s revamping of the Spurs squad has been driven by a strong faith in youth, with the likes of Harry Kane, Eric Dier and Dele Alli all thriving under the Argentinian.
Pochettino was at Wembley – as a guest of Roy Hodgson – and he was determined to show his solidarity, both with his players who were involved on both sides and, in broader terms, for the victims of the terrorist attacks.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, however, has welcomed the England global back into the fold and insists all is forgotten ahead of this weekend’s game at White Hart Lane.
But with his place in England’s Euro 2016 squad in jeopardy, he can not afford another few months on the fringes.
But Pochettino is keen to share the praise and, speaking at today’s (Friday’s) press conference, he was also anxious to highlight the contribution of Tottenham’s senior and foreign players. “We are lucky and he is lucky it was not a big issue”.
Pochettino played for Paris Saint-Germain between 2001 and 2003, making 70 appearances for the club, and he also lived in the city for three years. “We have confidence in our team, the same as we have at Tottenham”, Dembele said.
The blow will rule Bentaleb out of Sunday’s match against West Ham, but could return next week. It is another tough derby.

“They’re a very good team so it’s going to be hard for us, but we are in a good moment as well”.
