May the force be with you: Edmonton theatre holds Star Wars marathon
Starting at 4 a.m. Thursday, the Warren will host a movie marathon, off all Star Wars films, leading up the 7 p.m. premiere of “The Force Awakens”. However, Star Wars fans aren’t just looking for this film to be reinvented for 2015, but maintain the spirit created from the original films. “And we’re so fortunate to have thousands of cast members and employees around the world who accept the challenge and embody that spirit”.

“We grew up with Star Wars”, said Barry Parsons, who will also be at the opening.
And now it’s Abrams’ turn to blow some minds.
“Star Wars may not generate as much interest in toy collectors compared to Marvel’s Avengers, DC’s Batman, these hero-related movies, They’ve been more successful because the characters have a deeper human interest appeal”, he said. He went on to ask that those writing about the movie be respectful of the fans and not reveal too many spoilers.
Moviegoers are expected answer in force.
“I think it’s going to be one of the biggest [events] I’ve seen”.
“I actually felt the most green and insecure than I had in a long time”, he told the mag. “I was like, ‘What am I doing here?’ There was a lot of room to shade in the character”.

Abrams also praised the film’s new leads, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, saying they had “an alchemy” with the actors from the earlier films. It becomes a part of people’s lives and I really appreciate that they have such an intense, emotional interest in these films. “I’ve just worked with Mark Hamill on Squadron 42 and he was an absolute delight”, the Game of Thrones star said. “And then there will be no kids, so Saturday morning I will take the boys, and if they act up, I’ve already seen the movie so I can enjoy myself”. “Why go back to what you’ve done before?” “The most exciting thing for me is crossing that bridge between something we know is real and something that is extraordinary”.
