Maze Runner: Death Cure release pushed to 2018
The Death Cure has finally announced when the film will premiere after production was delayed due to Dylan O’Brien’s on-set injury. “Maze Runner: The Death Cure” was previously slated for a February 17, 2017 release but it has now been moved to January 2018.

With the loss of a couple characters in “Teen Wolf”, fans are curious to see what the upcoming season will hold for the hit MTV series.
The 24-year-old star of the movie was dragged under a vehicle while shooting scenes for the next instalment of the franchise, but his filming for the MTV supernatural series is also understood to be in doubt. In late April, more than a month after O’Brien suffered injuries that were described as “not life-threatening in any way”, distributor 20th Century Fox was forced to withdraw the film’s name from their release schedule completely.
While WorkSafeBC didn’t mention the name of the worker hurt in the accident, the incident involving O’Brien was the only accident on a movie set in British Columbia that month. When the production shutdown was extended, insiders told THR that O’Brien’s injuries were more severe than initially believed. The good news from all this is that Dylan O’Brien seems to be on the road to recovery.
The film had been scheduled for January 27, 2017 here, so we’ll have to wait and see how the shift affects the United Kingdom release.
It’s unknown whether or not O’Brien will continue filming for Teen Wolf, which is now in production for season six but because Maze Runner stopped production so he could heal, it’s unlikely that he’ll be seen on any set any time soon.
Wes Ball, who is directing The Death Cure, expressed his feelings of guilt in an emotional post on Twitter.com in the wake of Dylan’s accident.
