McConnell: Trump Will Fill Scalia’s Supreme Court Seat
“There is a clear choice before us, and it is not Hillary”, McConnell said. “I wouldn’t read much into that”, he said. She lied about Benghazi.

“I am here to tell you Hillary Clinton will say anything, do anything, and be anything to get elected president”, McConnell said. We passed a bill to defund Planned Parenthood.
McConnell, who takes pride in defending the U.S. Senate as an institution, painted a picture of how Congress would function differently with Trump in the White House.
Mitch McConnell will likely no longer be the Senate Majority Leader in 2017 and his bragging about ignoring the Constitution and not doing his job will be one of the main reasons why.
McConnell has also criticized Trump on several occasions, warning of his potential to indefinitely drive Latino voters away from the Republican party and even refusing to explicitly say whether he believed Trump was qualified to be president.
“It is not Hillary”, said McConnell in his opening salvo against the Democratic nominee. Embracing his background as a prosecutor, the Trump ally outlined stories about Clinton’s record in national and foreign security and about her private email server by asking the audience for its verdict: “Is she guilty or not guilty?” “Hillary has changed her position so many times, it’s impossible to tell where the conviction ends and the ambition begins”.
Big game hunter Donald Trump Jr. provided plenty of red meat for the crowd.
“In the plainest terms I know, it is all on the line”, he said.
The Senate GOP leader’s main argument was essentially that while President Obama vetoed Republican priorities like repealing health care reform and cutting spending, Trump would approve their legislation.
Rep. Andy Barr, a fellow Kentucky Republican of McConnell’s, said that even though he was cheering loudly with the rest of his delegation for McConnell ― Barr was actually wearing a “Team Mitch” sticker on the lapel of his suit jacket ― he understood why some Republicans might boo. “I think the Pence selection was a smart move and reassuring to a vast majority of Republicans who are clearly right of center that a Trump administration will be a conservative administration”.

But according to at least two veteran observers, Ryan and McConnell have their eyes on a greater set of concerns than whether Trump is ideologically simpatico to their respective agendas. He vetoed it. Trump would sign it’. I don’t know, but I know this, if Hillary Clinton is our president nothing will change.
