After a missed field goal on their first possession of the third quarter, a score on the following drive could effectively be a nail in the coffin against the Chargers’ struggling offense. The punt-coverage team allowed a 21-yarder and a 33-yarder came off a kickoff return. Neither returned to the game. You feeling sorry for yourself? Whiz did well with Philip Rivers and was able to lean on the run game on offense. All in all, it was a dominant showing by by the league’s best defense.
