McGinty overtaking Toomey in Pa. Senate race

Mr. Toomey’s 44 percent support is similar to the 42 percent backing Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump registered in the same poll. He leads his competition by three poll points, which experts say is not enough to determine the outcome of the race.

The poll shows sharp disparities among races and genders.

Rubio is edging out Rep. Patrick Murphy 48%-45% and Rep. Alan Grayson 49%-43% in Florida – Grayson and Murphy face off in the August 30 primary – according to a new poll Thursday from Quinnipiac University.

Pat Toomey are running neck-and-neck with their Democratic challengers, according to a new poll. Marco Rubio for Florida’s U.S. Senate seat, declares that he is an immigrant, even though he was born and raised in Florida.

“The latest Quinnipiac poll finds that the Florida Senate race is a dead heat”, says the poll’s assistant director Peter Brown.

Brown attributes Rubio’s slight lead to his support among independent voters.

“In each of the three key swing states, the incumbent USA senators seeking re-election are running better than Trump”.

“Sen. Rubio’s 10-point lead among independent voters over Congressman Patrick Murphy and his eight-point edge over Congressman Alan Grayson is the Republican’s best weapon in his reelection race”, Brown said.

However, Brown says if Trump continues to lag behind in the presidential race, that would logically make it more hard for other GOP candidates.

In the Ohio Senate race between Republican Sen. Women and minorities in Pennsylvania who participated in the poll largely back McGinty, while white male participants prefer Toomey.

Among Republicans, Toomey leads 85 percent to 7 percent. McGinty takes Democrats 85 – 8 percent.

A Quinnipiac University survey released this morning found Ms. McGinty leading Mr. Toomey, 47 percent to 44 among likely Keystone State voters.

The latest Quinnipiac University presidential polling showed Clinton beating Trump 46%-45% in Florida, 49%-45% in OH and 52%-42% in Pennsylvania.
