McLaren has revealed the open-top Spider version of the 675LT.

Powering the new 675 LT Spider is the same 3.8-litre twin turbocharged V8 rated at 666bhp and 516lb ft of torque.
With a top speed of 203mph, the 675LT can accelerate from 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds, and reach 124mph in 8.1 seconds.
As for the McLaren 675LT Spider performance, this new model is to offer 675PS and 700Nm, which works out at 532PS per tonne, as it has a dry weight of 1,270kg. Of course, the car’s defining characteristic is the retractable folding hardtop which can be opened at speeds up to 30 km/h (19 mph). Like the regular 675LT, the Spider is basically a reworked version of its 650S equivalent with more of everything (horsepower, aerodynamic bodywork) except weight – this model is a full 220 pounds lighter than the 650S Spider, McLaren says. Also, much like its coupe sibling, there will be just 500 on these will be built. Like the coupe, the McLaren 675LT Spider will be limited to just 500 copies. However McLaren can re-install the system as a no-cost option, the only drawback being an extra 16kg of weight.
The lightweight theme continues in the cabin as the model has been equipped with lightweight carbon fiber-shelled racing seats that are covered in leather and feature 675LT embossing. At the front, there is an extended front splitter flanked by front wing end plates, while carbon fiber door sills run along the lower edge of the body, flowing in to a smaller air intake ahead of the rear wheels. Top speed is 203 miles per hour, but McLaren is particularly pleased about its 18 mpg city/highway mileage.
Deliveries of the 675LT are set to begin around the middle of 2016, and although pricing is yet to be announced if the success of the $657,000 coupe is anything to go buy, you’ll need to get in quick to ensure you don’t miss out.
The new drop-top from Woking is available in an exclusive paintwork called Solis (pictured) and can be fitted with 20 spoke forged alloy wheels, available in liquid metal or diamond cut finishes.
Additional changes over the 650S Spider include new lightweight springs and a wider track-increased by 20 millimeters.

The fixed roof 675LT focused on light weight, enhanced aerodynamics, increased power and track-focused dynamics, and was sold out before the first deliveries commenced.
