Meek Mill on brink of jail time

The 28-year-old MMG rapper appeared in court today to testify on his own behalf and plead with the judge presiding over his probation violation case not to send him back to prison.

According to the judge, Meek repeatedly ignored travel restrictions and other rules she set for him.

Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley had already let Meek off without jail time in a 2009 drug and gun case, and was not amenable to hearing it this time. had heard it all before. It’s likely that Brinkley will send Meek back to prison, but the judge made a decision to hold off on her sentencing until February 5.

Assistant District Attorney Noel Ann DeSantis and Probation Officer Treas Underwood outlined a series of alleged probation violations since July, most involving Mill’s travels to cities not on his court-approved itinerary or without notifying Underwood.

She told Billboard magazine: “I love it [in Los Angeles]”.

Minaj, who just received three more Grammy nominations, said she would help him stay organized and fulfill his community service requirement. The lawyer also told the judge that the “Anaconda” rapper would not marry someone who is a bum or a criminal, TMZ reports. “I can be the biggest rapper in the world”.
