Meesa happy: No Jar Jar Binks in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’

Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams has backtracked from some much-criticised comments he made during a TV interview, in which he called Star Wars “a boy’s thing”.

“I think it’s going to be the hugest thing”, said Lucy Lui, while Shaquille O’Neal said he thought it was “an excellent movie”. This’ll be our first look at the new Star Trek movie starring Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, and Zachary Quinto.

Lucasfilm CEO Kathleen Kennedy, who has been running the company that bears his name since shortly before Disney bought it in 2012, confirmed to the Hollywood Reporter that “he really liked it”.

In a recent Washington Post profile, Lucas characterized his decision to sell Lucasfilm to Disney and cede control of the Star Wars franchise as the equivalent of a divorce.

Lucas seems to indicate that fans just want spaceship action and lightsaber fights without the family problems that drive the story and actually give it substance and an emotional core.

“I would like them to sit down, relax in their seat and just let the story begin”, said Harrison Ford, who returns as Han Solo.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will hit cinemas in the United Kingdom on December 17 and in France on December 16 prior to its wide debut in the U.S. on December 18. “It’s nice that I don’t have that pressure of trying to live this dream that they felt a part of”.

“I know. Somehow, I’ve always known”. It’s a choice I don’t want to make …

And when you break up with somebody, and they get a new significant other, you’re not immediately going to say they’re a great person.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens will help to showcase the unique natural and built heritage of Skellig Michael and it will bring images of this lovely region of South Kerry to an unrivalled global audience”. From that moment forward, fans of comic book films would refuse to vacate a theater until the lights went on and the cleaning staff came in to prepare for the next screening.
