“Meet LG’s new Rollable 65” OLED display
The 65-inch display is exactly the same as the Korean firm’s other top of the line OLED display, except that it can roll itself up like a newspaper inside its display box.

Compatriot Samsung is set to show off new 8K resolution QLED TVs, as well as a 150-inch Micro LED TV at the trade show.
LG Display plans to sell 2.8 million large-size OLED displays this year, and increase its sales target of large-size OLED displays to 6.5 million units in 2020.
This means that OLEDs can be thinner and more flexible than any other television technology now on the market.
Over the weekend, several large consumer technology companies used the CES platform to launch brand-new OLED products.
LG is adding ThinQ to its appliances as well as its TVs, which means, among other things, you can use it to turn on your air purifier and receive alerts when your washing is done.
LG has unveiled its new rollable television.
LG’s David VanderWaal said: “2018 will be the tipping point for the smart home”. Further, both the series comes with hands-free control with Amazon-Alexa-enabled devices and Google Home. LG is also promising better image rendering and colour accuracy, as well as enhanced viewing angles. The all new 65 Inch Rollable OLED display grabs many eyeballs and headlines as this is world’s first OLED display to have a rollable feature which is in fact completely flexible.
In contrast to the boom in OLED TV shipments, global liquid crystal display (LCD) TV shipments declined slightly in November – though they still account for the vast majority of TV sales.
The flexibility of the new 65 Inch OLED display makes it easier for the user to carry it along.
In addition to just being a remarkably thin and lovely OLED set with near-perfect blacks and eye-popping hues, you can use the rollable TV in three distinct modes.
The oven is also able to share information about the dish it just cooked with the company’s connected QuadWash dishwasher, which then selects the most appropriate wash cycle to rinse the dishes properly.
Taking a page out of LG’s pioneering work in using OLED displays to offer a brighter picture, Sony is also looking to make headway in that market with their 2018 line-up of TVs.
