Meg Whitman blasts Chris Christie for Trump endorsement

The NBC/WSJ/Marist poll of Georgia was conducted February 18-23 of 543 likely GOP primary voters with a margin of error of +/- 4.2 percentage points and 461 likely Democratic voters with a margin of error of +/- 4.6 percentage points.

Trump has faced heavy pressure from his GOP critics to release tax returns this week, after former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney warned the documents could contain a “bombshell”.

Mr. Christie agreed Sunday that he and Mr. Trump have had “some major disagreements with each other, because we ran against each other”.

‘They do not know the playbook with Donald Trump because he is rewriting the playbook of American politics, ‘ Christie said.

Cruz is the favorite to win the Texas primary, one of several states voting this week on “Super Tuesday”.

Cruz said it raises “serious ethical issues” that Donald Trump has not released any tax returns. “Maybe he’s written them a bunch of checks”, he continued.

In an interview with Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday”, Trump repeated that he would not release his tax returns right now. I’ve had it for years. “I’ve been singled out”.

Rubio called Trump a “world-class con artist”, saying he’s become more vocally critical of Trump in recent days because voters need to know his candidacy is a “scam”. Rubio and Cruz have 20% each. “If they’re doing that, that’s a total violation of the pledge, yes”.

“I will support the Republican nominee”, Cruz said.

The disclosure makes Rubio the only of the top three Republican candidates to fulfill pledges to disclose their tax information.

Regardless of how many years the real estate mogul claims to have been under audit, it is generally thought that the release of his tax return information will prove damaging in some way to the Trump campaign. Trump himself seems to be aware of this as well, declaring on Twitter that tax returns have nothing to do with net worth, seemingly as a way to prepare the world for some quite low income figures.

“Apparently he’s hoping that most wouldn’t expect a full accounting of his consulting company, additional corporate ownerships, rental income from properties co-owned with (Rubio friend) David Rivera, capital gains, household employees, and self-employment”, said Kevin McAlister, a spokesman for American Bridge 21st Century, which conducts opposition research on Republican candidates. They show he and his wife Heidi brought in an annual average of $1,131,792, with large portions of their income coming from Cruz’s work in 2011 and 2012 at the law firm Morgan, Lewis and Bockius, and his wife’s work at Goldman Sachs.
