Ted Cruz suggested John Kasich reconsider the viability of his Republican presidential campaign late Tuesday, saying the race was essentially a “head-to-head” battle between himself and Donald Trump.

Trump cited a hypothetical scenario where he’d go to the Cleveland convention in July with roughly 1,000 delegates and a rival would show up there with 500.
The question is, how would Trump and Cruz fare matched up against Clinton? Cruz has 370 delegates.
Gonidakis: “We’re gonna let democracy in its purest form play out on national TV”.
Donald Trump says there will be “riots” if the Republican party thwarts his bid to be its presidential candidate.
“You’d have riots”, Trump said Wednesday.
By capturing Florida, Trump will win all 99 of the state’s delegates, giving him a huge lift in his drive to the nomination.
“With more than half the delegates yet to be chosen and a calendar that favors us in the weeks and months to come, we remain confident that our campaign is on a path to win the nomination”, he said.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton speaks at a rally during a campaign event on Super Tuesday in Miami on March 1, 2016.
“We have to bring our party together”, he said.
He said Clinton’s victories on Tuesday night were close to knocking Sanders out of the race. I think in an ideal world you have a nominee, people coalesce around the nominee, and it gives you a stronger position in the general election.
Kasich vowed to win the GOP nomination, even if it means doing so in a brokered convention.
If “released”, Ashe and the other Rubio delegates would be able to vote for the candidate they want at the convention.
But despite four more wins on Tuesday, the billionaire businessman still must do better.
Mr Trump received 46 per cent of the votes in Florida – one of two winner-take-all states for the Republicans – with Mr Rubio capturing only 27 per cent of the votes, with 98 per cent of the votes counted. But it remains unclear how a contender who has won only won state and has been laboring in obscurity for much of the race can overtake Trump, who has won 18 states and is far ahead of him in the delegate race. Rubio left the race with 168 delegates. Bernie Sanders, giving Clinton what her campaign manager described as an “insurmountable lead” in the delegate count. But states like Virginia and Nevada require delegates to vote for their pledged candidate in the first round of convention voting – no matter what.
