Megyn Kelly “Ran Her Fingers Through” Donald Trump’s Hair, Says “It’s Real”

Donald Trump frequently targeted Megyn Kelly on his infamous Twitter rants.

She reiterated that argument during Tuesday’s interview.

“And that’s actually been one of the nice things about the year, is how supportive I have felt, supported by my Fox colleagues”, Kelly said, specifically mentioning Dana Perino, Janice Dean and Chris Stirewalt.

Moderators Chris Wallace (L) pats on the shoulder of Megyn Kelly (2nd L) as they wait with Bret Baier (R) for the beginning of the Fox News – Google GOP Debate January 28, 2016 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Donald Trump doesn’t think his retweet of someone calling Megyn Kelly a “bimbo” was that bad – he says she’s probably “been called a lot worse.” Then, in April, Kelly made a trip to Trump Tower to discuss his coming on for the special.

Since that time, Trump launched an all-out verbal assault on Kelly in interviews and over social media, calling her “crazy,” among other terms. Now that Trump seemingly has the nomination locked up, he and the Fox News personality meet again for her Fox special “Megyn Kelly Presents”, airing tonight on Fox. “I could have done certain things [differently]”. “I try and unwound myself”.

“I respond pretty strongly, but in just about all cases, I’ve been responding to what they did to me”, he said. Will he stop lying quite so much if he wins the presidency? “I’ve negotiated every deal here since I started myself, without my agent… and that has worked out okay for me”.

“You seemed to stay angry for months”, Kelly replied.

Without getting personal, she confronted Trump about the kind of crap people on the receiving end of his attacks get. “She maintained dignity, never engaged and kept her eye on the ball the whole way”, he said of his wife.

Kelly simply told the real estate developer that it’s not about her, but is instead about the young girls and women watching him and the parents teaching their children not to be a bully.

“If I were soft, if I were “presidential”…If I had not fought back the way I fought back, I don’t think I would have been successful”. Of dwelling on past errors or correcting mistakes, Trump says he doesn’t do that.
