This device is clocked at Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 7420 processor with Mali T760 GPU on board.

The same SoC powers Samsung’s recent flagships, like the Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+, and does a great job at it.

Well, the first smartphone from this new family has arrived this week, in the form of the metal-clad Meizu Pro 5, reports Giz China. The Meizu Pro 5 is expected to be equipped with a 5.7-inch screen, carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution.

The phone comes in two versions: a 2799 Yuan ($438) model features 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, while a 3099 Yuan ($485) version has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The device will also sport a microSD card slot for further expanding the onboard storage.

Meizu has thrown in a USB type C port on the bottom of the phone.

On the photography front, the smartphone has a 21.16-megapixel Sony IMX230 CMOS camera sensor on the rear and a 5-megapixel OV5670 CMOS camera sensor with f/2.2 lens. The rumors were confirmed today as the company officially introduced the Meizu Pro 5 in China. It will be made available in the country from October 12 onwards at the above mentioned costs. What is seemingly assured on this front is that the Meizu MX5 Pro will not be utilizing Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips. The Meizu PRO 5 is powered by a 3,050mAh battery and runs Flyme OS 5.0 which is based on Android 5.1.

New images of the phone have begun to pop up online, and this is leading many to speculate about what it could be capable of and when it might be hitting stores.

The Pro 5 features an all metal body and much like some previously launched Meizu handsets, comes with a physical home button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner.
