She said Gibson had accused the photographer of disrespecting him and invading his privacy.

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph podcast, Miller claimed, “I took two frames, then I ran to get in front of them, so I had my back to them, and the next thing I knew, he had shoved me from behind”. Kristi Miller works for News Corp Australia and the publication reported that when she took a photo of Mel Gibson and his 24-year-old girlfriend Mel went all insane on her, spitting on her, calling her a dog.

Ross finally stepped in and tried to calm her beau down while apologizing to Miller on his behalf. “I’m sorry, he’s a bit sick at the moment”, she said. There was no physical altercation whatsoever. He swore and called me a c***.

Police have confirmed they are investigating reports that Oscar-winning actor pushed Miller.

Express.co.uk has contacted Gibson’s representatives for comment.

The actor’s publicist, Alan Nierob, denied Gibson had attacked the photographer.

The couple had been watching David Oelhoffen’s 2014 film Far From Men, scored by Bad Seeds Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, and mingled afterwards with crowds attending a screening for the Australian Israeli film festival in the same cinema.

Gibson is in Australia to direct a movie at Fox Studios.

Surry Hills Local Area Command Police Superintendent Tony Crandell has also assured that his department will look into the case.

Right now Mel Gibson isn’t exactly thought of as a ladies man, but word has it that the original Mad Max actor is head over heels in love with his new 25-years-yound girlfriend, Rosalind Ross.

The father-of-eight has been quietly working on rebuilding his reputation following a tumultuous few years, which include his 2006 drink driving arrest and rant against the Jewish community for which he later apologised over and labelled as “despicable” behaviour.
