Melania Trump did not plagiarise speech, campaign claims
But time spent fetching McDonalds for the Trump campaign does something to a man. This morning, Matt Lauer asked him of Melania Trump’s clearly plagiarized speech, “You’re a former prosecutor, could you make the case for plagiarism?”

Delegates pushing for a vote on the Republican convention’s controversial rules package were restrained by security and physically and professionally threatened by allies of presumptive nominee Donald Trump, sources tell the Washington Free Beacon. But the rocky start raises fresh questions about his oversight of his campaign, which gives voters a window into how a candidate might handle the pressures of the presidency.

The similarity between Melania Trump’s speech Monday night and a 2008 speech by Michelle Obama was a topic of discussion at Tuesday’s breakfast for S.C. delegates at the Republican National Convention. If Trump were to be elected president, Mrs. Trump would be the only first lady who is the third wife of a president and the first to be born and raised in a communist nation.
While it was Trump’s night, Clinton was frequently the focus.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie tried to tamp down the controversy, saying “93 percent of the speech is completely different” from the speech Mrs. Obama delivered.
Said Robertson: “No matter who you are, Donald Trump will have your back”. “And it’s going to be our effort to not just do what we’ve been doing, but expanding our effort and getting our nominee out in front of people and talking about those issues”.
Despite his lack of political experience, Trump touts his business record as a real estate developer and – running counter to Republican free trade orthodoxy – has proposed some protectionist trade policies aimed at preventing job outsourcing.
The evening’s program ended on an unusual note, with an actress-turned-avocado farmer delivering the closing speech – a spot normally reserved for prominent speakers. Not being able to attack Trump directly, since he didn’t speak Monday night, liberals have instead chose to attack Melania for plagiarism.
“The Trumps don’t do a lot by accident”, the John Kasich delegate said.
The incidents ultimately helped doom his presidential campaign. Not only did Trump continue to use the song, he used the classic tune as the soundtrack to bring the lights up on his first appearance at the Republican Convention.
The crowd gathered in the cavernous convention hall reflected the growing dissatisfaction among some Republicans with party elites. Barack Obama was being nominated for president.
The good news for Trump is that the convention is far from over. Four of his children joined the state’s delegation on the convention floor for the historic moment and appeared overwhelmed with emotion.
“Melania’s task should have been to humanize her cartoonish thug of a mate, whether by offering a clear picture of herself, of him, or of their family life together”.
That small section of Melania Trump’s roughly 15-minute speech, a highlight of the opening day of the convention, was similar to part of Michelle Obama’s speech in 2008 in support of her husband Barack Obama.
He then told reporters that there’s a “political tint” to the allegations of plagiarism, before accusing the Clinton campaign of being the first to spread them without offering up any credible evidence.
“Certainly I don’t blame her (Ms Trump) for anything”, he said.

The dissident delegates had earlier collected enough signatures on petitions to force a roll-call vote, but Trump supporters persuaded some delegates to remove their names.
