Melania Trump Returns to Convention Following Speech Gaffe
He had made his peace with that.

Cruz faced criticism because, like the other GOP candidates, he signed a pledge during the race to endorse the eventual nominee.
Remember, just before the IN primary, Cruz called Trump a “pathological liar” who “doesn’t know the difference between truth and lies”.
Cruz said it’ “up to us” to determine whether it’s true or not.
He wasn’t done: “Why do people take an instantaneous dislike to Ted Cruz?”.
And yet some in the Texas delegation, a majority of whom supported Cruz, angrily challenged the senator to publicly get behind Trump. It seems possible that a massive Trump defeat could snap Republican voters out of their Trump-fueled reverie and make them realize that charisma vacuum Ted Cruz was right all along.
While Louisiana is a decidedly Red state that won’t be in play during the general election, the delegation was not of one mind heading into the convention.
On Thursday morning, a defiant Cruz continued to ratchet up his war against Trump, declaring that he would not grovel “like a servile puppy.”
Chris Arnold, an honorary delegate from NY, said it “didn’t take a lot of courage” for Cruz to do what he did. “It’s time to win in November”, Senator Rubio said.
In a statement with the Trump Organisation letterhead, a staff member took responsibility for the insertion of the material and apologised. His sometimes muddled messages on issues like abortion and same-sex marriage have anxious some. ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos naturally was curious how Trump planned to top Monday’s smoky rock-star entrance at the convention – or even Wednesday’s Trump Helicopter entrance (on Tuesday, he’d shown up as a large disembodied head on a screen, from Trump Tower, Wizard-of-Oz style).
He will accuse Clinton of failures while serving as President Barack Obama’s first-term secretary of state and cite her use of a private email server as evidence she is corrupt.
But Cruz is who he is. Cruz could be splintering the conservative purists from the larger GOP, and he may have ostracized himself in the process. “He’ll always be in the minority”.
But the Texas senator and longtime Trump nemesis who gave the most talked about speech of the night is nowhere to be seen.
Not everyone was angry.
People associated with the Trump campaign were furious at Cruz. And I think he came to the realization very early that it wasn’t going to work this time.

The boos and jeers from Trump supporters shattered the facade of party unity that has been carefully built up in Cleveland this week. And so I can understand why there’s still some hesitation, but, again, it’s a decision of conscience.
