Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions, an early backer of Mr Trump, placed the NY businessman’s name in nomination, calling him “a warrior and a winner”.

The centerpiece of Tuesday’s evening convention program will be the roll call vote making Trump’s nomination official – a once-unthinkable scenario for Republicans who spent months dismissing the real estate mogul as a mere sideshow.

The theme of yesterday’s convention was “Make America Work Again”, and speakers were to take aim at Obama’s record on the economy.
The Rickroll was so subtle and perfectly executed, some punters say she may have been sabotaged by one of her speechwriters. “Look at the remarks from Laura Bush in 2004 and I think you will find something similar”.
Another passage with notable similarities that follows two sentences later in Mrs. Trump’s speech addresses her attempts to instill those values in her son.
