State party chairman Tuckerman Babcock had expected the delegates to be divvied up according to the results of the Alaska GOP’s presidential preference poll in March, barring any letters from Sens.

Cruz’s campaign did not answer a question as to what Cruz would do in that situation.

Christie, who is governor of New Jersey and leads Trump’s White House transition team, said the campaign was drawing up a list of federal government employees to fire if Trump defeats Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in the November 8 presidential election.
Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions, an early backer of Mr Trump, placed the NY businessman’s name in nomination, calling him “a warrior and a winner”.
Former state Rep. Peggy Wilson, a Trump delegate from Wrangell, said Trump isn’t trying to become president for fame or glory because he’s already rich and famous. “These were common words and values”, Paul Manafort said in an interview with CNN early Tuesday.
“Because we want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them”, said Ms Trump on Monday night. “But she did a great job up there and she’s not the candidate”, she said.
The centerpiece of Tuesday’s evening convention program will be the roll call vote making Trump’s nomination official – a once-unthinkable scenario for Republicans who spent months dismissing the real estate mogul as a mere sideshow.
Jon Favreau, a former speechwriter for Barack Obama, said Ms Obama’s speech eight years ago was written by Sarah Hurwitz, a former speechwriter for Hillary Clinton. “Especially, the ones with preconceived notions”, she said in one of the more clever rhetorical devices.
The theme of yesterday’s convention was “Make America Work Again”, and speakers were to take aim at Obama’s record on the economy.
The Rickroll was so subtle and perfectly executed, some punters say she may have been sabotaged by one of her speechwriters. “Look at the remarks from Laura Bush in 2004 and I think you will find something similar”.
Another passage with notable similarities that follows two sentences later in Mrs. Trump’s speech addresses her attempts to instill those values in her son.

That basically makes her catnip to alt-right Trump supporters-you know, the ones who use the word “cuck” a lot?-who were eager to charge in to save the Slovenian ex-model in distress when the big, bad media came after her for such a silly little thing as cribbing extensively from a speech delivered by the sitting First Lady.
