Supergirl held onto 81% of Big Bang’s 15.9 million viewers, and 76% of its young-adult lead-in.

Members of the cast of CBS’ “Supergirl” at a panel discussion during the CBS portion of the 2015 Summer TCA Tour at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on August 10 in Los Angeles. “I feel like a different person, I really do”, she told us ahead of the premiere. I want her to be complicated and flawed. I would have moments where I felt confident and where I felt strong and fearless and like I could do anything. If it can hold on to or even surpass the premiere’s numbers, “Supergirl” may well be the number one show for the Fall season. There’s an ad promoting Supergirl. She looked pretty hot.

“The second that I saw in my email inbox the title “Supergirl”, I just knew automatically that it was something important and it was something exciting and rare and that I wanted to be a part of it”, she said.

The series, which is one of the central elements of the new autumn – “fall” – schedule for the U.S. network CBS, has delivered on the buzz which has enveloped it since its pre-launch at the annual fan convention Comic-Con earlier this year.

After months of hype, Supergirl finally alighted on CBS last night.

“I heard about it”, the woman of steel replied as diplomatically as possible. What do you think will happen when Kara meets Astra?

The Atlantic says it is easier to assume that the series would go into the same direction as Superman, considering both stories are strikingly similar. Expect to see Supergirl building its own lore and unique version of the DC universe, separate from any of the other ongoing TV series, or the DC Extended Universe movies. She possesses all of the same superpowers as her cousin Superman. “Also, Cat pressures James to use his connection to Superman to get her an interview with Supergirl”.

“I think the reason why Superman’s not on the show is because it’s not about him”.

Supergirl takes flight on CBS tonight, but before she could do that, she needed the proper duds.

Everything about this show screams The CW, so much so that it’s hard to believe it isn’t actually a stablemate of Arrow and, more notably, The Flash, which it shares a lot in common with.
