Melissa McCarthy Posts Empowering Pic Of Female ‘Ghostbusters’ Crew

The stars of the new all-female Ghostbusters movie have posed for an impressive snap alongside all the women who are working hard to bring the reboot to cinemas. When we stand together we are unstoppable!’

In the photo, the ladies are seen holding signs which display their respective positions on the film (scenic, stunts, writer, makeup artist, executive producer, etc.) while standing on a double staircase behind cast members Melissa, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon and Kristen Wiig. They all smile while holding papers which show their job description.

McCarthy also gave reference to Ellen Degeneres’ girl power-themed clothing campaign which highlights strong women and encourages them to do great things without conforming to gender stereotypes.

Before this, Ghostbusters had been in the news for the very first photo of Chris Hemsworth, rumored to play the secretary to the titular ghost-busting foursome. According to The Guardian, director Paul Feig was not, tweeting “Everyone should know that the picture of Chris Hemsworth was illegally taken on a closed set and released without our permission”.
