Melissa Valdez: Sunny but chilly start to the first day of spring

With today being one of those days, the National Weather Service has issued a WIND ADVISORY for NW Arkansas as well as most of Oklahoma for this afternoon and much of tonight – and in some places, that means winds will be gusting at more than 35-45 miles per hour.

Wednesday Night…Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 60s. South winds will be 10-15 miles per hour with gusts as high as 25 miles per hour.

Monday is expected to be partly sunny and breezy with a high near 38.

There is a 40 percent chance of showers Thursday before 1 p.m. After that, temperatures will fall under mostly sunny skies.

Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46. The day will start mostly sunny but mostly cloudy skies will return in the afternoon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65.

Thursday night: A chance of freezing rain before 9 p.m., then rain and snow showers likely.

“Clouds will increase tonight and there is the slight chance for a few showers late tonight with lows dropping back into the mid to upper 30s”, Maher said.

Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy with a high of 59.

Unlike Tuesday night, Tuesday night into Wednesday morning will be considerably warmer. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 37. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70.
