With some commenters noting the T&P styling and comparing it to dangling toilet paper coming off a roll, others pointed out the penetration of the Trump “T” into the Pence “P” had a disturbing sexual connotation that became the subject of much mirth.
“I am pleased to announce that I have chosen Governor Mike Pence as my Vice Presidential running mate“, Trump tweeted on Friday.
Um, guys? Donald Trump’s campaign team released the new logo for the joint Trump-Pence campaign Friday, July 15, after the presumptive Republican presidential nominee confirmed IN governor Mike Pence will be his running mate – and social media quickly noticed some suggestive undertones. A news conference is forthcoming to make it formal. A former congressman, Pence is committed to conservative values; The New York Times reported that as governor, he’s supported controversial legislation related to LGBT rights and abortion.
Trump tweeted that Pence was his pick. Newt Gingrich – whose jaw-dropping, last-minute mega-pander failed to change the outcome – seems to be taking the Pence news more or less in stride.
