The participants will also visit two cemeteries in the Back Mountain, Fern Knoll and Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, where short ceremonies will be held.

A Waterside Service begins at 9 a.m. There will be a recognition with wreath and poppies cast into the water in memory of all servicemen and women lost at sea.
Memorial Day ceremonies are scheduled at a number of Grand Valley sites today.
At 9, the VFW moves over to Sunset Memorial Gardens.
DurangoThe Vietnam Veterans Association will honor those who died in the Vietnam War at 10 a.m. Monday at a ceremony at Iris Park, 1235 Camino del Rio. Hot dogs and refreshments will be served after the ceremony.
After a brief ceremony, a parade will form to march to the Spring Street Cemetery, then stop at the historic town cemetery on Main Street.

The Downey-Weaver American Legion Post 34’s Memorial Day parade steps off at 9 a.m. from the Carolina Fire Station and proceed south on Route 112 to Grandpre Park.
