Few comic book movies have as much business to get through as next year’s X-Men: Apocalyse.

What is “X-Men: Apocalypse” about?
“Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god”, begins the official blurb. He built up the extraordinary abilities of other mutants, leading him to emerge as the first and most powerful mutant in Marvel’s X-Men Universe.
It is now up to Professor Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and his X-Men to team up with a few of his deadliest foes to defeat this new threat as the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance. Below, you’ll find the aforementioned cute crossover featuring Magento and Storm as M&Ms.
This isn’t the end, though, as Singer and 20th Century Fox no doubt intend to continue the X-Men story, but the fact remains that contracts for McAvoy, Fassbender, Lawrence, and Hoult are up for re-negotiation, so their future in the series is somewhat up in the air. Turns out that Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique is going to be the movie’s key good guy protagonist, uniting the X-Men against En Sabah Nur and his Horsemen. New cast additions include “Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, and Lana Condor as Jubilee. Collider adds that although Professor X is involved, the synopsis suggests that his involvement might be that of a mentor.
Days of Future Past was one of the biggest films of 2014 and took over $748 million at the global box office – the movie was also met with critical acclaim.
But now, the wait is over as the official plot for the movie has been released.

Although “Apocalypse” will draw to a close the second “X-Men” trilogy, Fox will give fans a “Deadpool” film and possibly a “Gambit” movie (if they can find a new director soon) in 2016 followed by a final Wolverine solo film with Hugh Jackman in 2017. It will debut in theaters on May 27, 2016.
