Meram, Kamara score, Crew beat Red Bulls 2-0 in 1st leg
It was the quickest goal in MLS Playoff historical past.

The Columbus Crew gave the Red Bulls a helluva one-two punch in its 2-0 playoff win Sunday.
The game’s fast start continued as Sacha Kljestan’s right-footed shot from close range was blocked by Crew SC keeper Steve Clark.
Off the opening kickoff, Crew midfielder Wil Trapp blasted a high ball forward to Sierra Leone striker Kamara, who flicked a header forward to the chest of Ethan Finlay.
If they have any hope of advancing to the MLS Cup final for the first time in seven years, they’ll have to do it following a domination in the first leg and spotting their opponent two goals.
Crew SC squandered their own share of opportunities in the remainder of the first half.
Kamara scored in the 85th minute.
With all 22 men on the pitch in the same half for most of the second 45, it was a back-and-forth affair with both clubs creating half-chances and both sets of defenders making quality last-ditch efforts. Kei Kamara found Harrison Afful on the right wing, but the defender’s right-footed shot skipped wide of the far post. It was his first goal against the Red Bulls this season.

And another thing is for sure: the Red Bulls have their work cut out for themselves next Sunday. And while it seemed at times that the Red Bulls would force their way back into the match thanks to Columbus’ narrow lead, ultimately the Crew found a second goal in the dying minutes to wrap up the game.
