Mercedes-AMG E43 Estate revealed

Just the three engines will be making their way to the United Kingdom for the E-Class Estate initially – two diesels and one high-performance petrol, with another, even more powerful AMG version expected at a later date.

For now, shoppers will have to settle for the E400 4MATIC wagon, which sees its powerplant mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.

“The new Estate is as dynamic as the Mercedes-Benz brand and as spacious as our customers expect”.

And just as many cars feature the ability to apply the brakes or increase braking power, should a driver fail to slow sufficiently in the face of an obstacle, Mercedes says the 2016 E-class can apply more steering in an attempt to help the auto avoid a potential accident – such as when a pedestrian steps into the road.

Overall, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon incorporates the sedan’s overall appearance, but with an extended rear and two-box design for extra practicality.

One of the biggest drawcards for the new E-Class was its sumptuous interior, and that remains the case in the wagon.

Speaking with CarAdvice today, Mercedes-Benz Australia communications manager David McCarthy confirmed a 2017 debut for the new E-Class Estate, although exact timing is still to be determined.

We’re going to start at the back, because that’s where the good news is hiding on the E-Class Estate.

Mercedes-Benz has been one of the few automakers to continuously offer wagon variants of their popular models, like the C-Class and the E-Class.

Aesthetically speaking, this is very much another E-Class.

Total cargo capacity of the 2017 Mercedes Benz E400 4Matic wagon is yet to be announced. It has a 3.0-liter V6 biturbo engine that produces 401 horsepower.

Again, apart from the extra boot space, the E-Class Estate’s interior is lifted nearly entirely from the saloon.

Mercedes makes it easier for users to drop down the third row of seats at the touch of a button. In fact, like Kleenex before it, the diesel Mercedes 300TD came to signify an entire genre-at least to subsections of the northeastern United States that had fallen out of love with their Ford LTD Wagons and thirsty Windsor V-8s. AIRCAP is part of the Cabriolet Comfort package, which also includes AIRSCARF neck-level heating for the driver and front passenger by circulating warm air around the neck area when temperatures are low outside.
