German luxury vehicle makers Mercedes Benz today launched AMG SLC 43 with prices tagged at Rs 77.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Mercedes Benz will come up with nine new models in 2017 according to a leaked document and it will include electric cars and a pickup truck!
Trivia: The SLK55 AMG was launched at Rs 1.26 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) when it was introduced in 2013, making the SLC43 quite a bit more affordable!
The E 220d uses an all-new four-cylinder turbo diesel with peak power of 194PS and peak torque of 400Nm. The engine is mated to a 9-Speed automatic gearbox which transfers all that power to the wheels, which is why the SLC 43 can go from a standstill to 100Km/h in 4.7 seconds before reaching its “electronically-limited” top-speed of 250Km/h.
The SLC43 can cover 0 to 100kmph comes in 4.7 seconds while the auto has an electronically limited top speed rating of 250kmph. You also get the AMG “Dynamic Select” function, which enables the driver to alter the suspension’s behaviour, based on the driving scenario. The rear gets revised LED taillights, diffuser-look rear bumper with silver chrome trim, and AMG sports exhaust system with chrome-plated dual exhaust tips. These add AMG exterior styling with 19-inch alloy wheels in titanium grey; an upper dashboard finished in Artico leather; black ash wood trim; brushed stainless steel AMG sports pedals with black rubber studs; and a three-spoke AMG steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather. As expected, the feature list is a gizmo-galore with blind spot assist, active brake assist, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity and Garmin map pilot navigation included in the kitty.
