Mercedes boss Toto Wolff: Lewis Hamilton unbeatable on his day
Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes took advantage of a good start to win the German Formula One Grand Prix and boost his overall standings lead over his team-mate Nico Rosberg to 19 points in Hockenheim on Sunday.

The turnaround since the Spanish Grand Prix, when the Mercedes pair collided on the first lap, has been remarkable and in July Ham-ilton became the first person to win four times in a calendar month.
After Rosberg won four successive races at the start of what is proving to be a roller-coaster campaign, Hamilton has burst back with six victories in seven races heading into F1’s summer holidays.
Hamilton is referencing the fact he is already on his fifth and final turbo-charger and MGU-H thanks to early season reliability troubles, whilst Rosberg is on his third of all elements.
Nico Rosberg is now 19 points behind Lewis Hamilton and it seems like a tough task for the German driver.
“He [Hamilton] did a very good streak, an impressive record”, he added.
“He has recovered all those points that he lost, and if there is something like momentum it is for him to keep that momentum”. So do I feel like I’m ahead?
“Hopefully I’ve saved enough of my engine today hoping that I would be able to use it at the next race”, he explained.
“Obviously I have a guy that I’m working with very, very closely and it’s been an up-and-down season and it’s not his fault or not my fault, it’s just the way these new clutch-regs [regulations] are and how sensitive the clutches are”. I really admire the way it is going.

“There was a lyric – it might have been one of my songs – where you feel like you’ve hit rock bottom but you’ve actually gone through the ground and gone further”. But the three-time champion clearly belie-ves when the vehicle does not fail he has all the tools at his disposal to win another title. I was just trying to bat them off. I’m sorry I didn’t get to finish it in celebrations… but anyways, next time.
