Mercer Co. Police Officer Killed In Greenville Crash
State Police say 41-year-old Jeremiah Christner Sr., of Greenville, and 17-year-old Jeremiah Christner Jr. were in an SUV that went out of control on Greenville Sheakleyville Road and ran into an oncoming truck in the opposite lane.

A two-car crash in Greenville, Pa. killed two people, including a Greenville Police officer, according to a report from the Pennsylvania State Police.
Police say Christner lost control of his vehicle and struck the other auto.
Mr. McDougall and a passenger in his truck, Russell R. Mohney, 30, of Hubbard, Ohio, were injured and taken to the hospital. All four people involved were wearing their seatbelts.

Greenville-West Salem police officers were too upset to comment publically Thursday but posted a statement of their Facebook page that read, in part, “Our department lost a brother, officer and friend”. He also served as a D.A.R.E instructor for several years and a Level 2 on-scene accident investigator.
