Metal Gear Solid V Upcoming November Update Detailed
In teaming with Prosthetics Designer Sophie De Oliviera Barata along with a pool of engineers and roboticists, Konami will create a “highly stylized and multi-functional limb” for 25-year old James Young.

The man in question is James Young, who lost an arm and a leg when he was dragged along the tracks by a train. The new arm will be visually inspired by Venom Snake’s arm in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. According to Konami, he has learned how to play games one-handed, and was selected by De Oliveira Barata for the project as a candidate who was comfortable with the idea of a stylish prosthetic, and someone who could benefit from its capabilities. Her past designs have included SteamPunk arms and cyborg-inspired legs, and she also designed the crystal leg used by amputee performer Viktoria Modesta during the opening ceremony of the 2012 Paralympics. Good news, then! Because Konami is giving you new weapons and FOB features in today’s November update. For starters, the studio had an extremely public falling out with one of the industry’s most prominent creators, as Konami and Hideo Kojima’s relationship ended very badly. Not to mention, a few months ago, there were claims that the company’s treatment of its employees was bad, with Nekkei releasing a damning work environment report.
