Metallica fans can begin banging their heads in celebration now that the veteran rockers have released details on the band’s official website about their long-in-the-works 10th studio album.

You know that new Metallica album we’ve been waiting on for ages and ages and ages? Metallica also debuted the title track, “Hardwired”, on Minneapolis’ 93X earlier today.
It’s the first album from the heavy metal legends since 2008’s well received Death Magnetic, an album that saw the group returning to top metal form after years spent in the MTV wilderness. They say their 11th studio album represents “the next phase of our journey”. “To Self-Destruct” and go on sale in November, the band said.
Although Metallica conquered the rock world with albums like the self-titled “black album” in 1991, the 21st century has been a leaner time for the California legends.

The band’s current lineup includes singer-guitarist James Hetfield, drummer Lars Ulrich, lead guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo.
