Leto’s went at great lengths for the role as a method actor as he stayed in character throughout filming, E! Look, I get it – they have to see all the films out there and they must be exhausted of all the blockbusters. Ayer didn’t waste any time showing audiences what these characters are all about and why they were placed in their cells in the first place.
I have to add that the character of El Diablo (Jay Hernandez) was a complete surprise.
“I think this is why you see all this marketing, boom, at the beginning”, she says. You don’t learn about his story until later in the film. Every objection critics raised to the live action movie just isn’t present. If it follows the path of other superhero films, it will do at least that much internationally. Other than that it’s too serious and, quite frankly, boring. It shows that the team cares about one another, even though they understand they are being used in the process. In fact, if Leto has his way, his Joker could have an entire standalone film.
This project had its share of issues, with reports of a rushed script and production timeline, along with it being a movie about some lesser known characters who happened to be villains.

On that note, it does a better job of things. I think it entirely depends on the response of the public. You may even find yourself asking who the true villain actually is. We see Amanda Waller meeting with Bruce Wayne in what appears to be the same restaurant from the beginning of the movie.

He even claims there was enough footage to make a whole Joker movie. But DC doesn’t really have to worry about that, because Justice League already has a lot of them returning for the name alone. To make matters more daunting, the movie has to overcome negative word-of-mouth and critical disdain. The studio has scheduled nine more DC films through 2020, including the 2017 release “Wonder Woman” with Gal Gadot, who won praise for her portrayal of the female superhero in “Batman v Superman”. You could cut that stuff out without harming the movie at all. “I want my refund, the trauma of being embarrassed as I was being kicked out and people laughing at me for wanting my refund, and also the 160 pounds of fuel money I used to drive to London from Scotland”.
