Police Sgt. John Sheahan says the second arrest was made and a lockdown was lifted about 7:30 a.m. Friday in the residential area several miles west of downtown.
A police officer who was responding to a burglary call has been shot near Rainbow and Alta, according to Metro police.
Another suspect temporarily managed to escape but was caught nearby a short time later, according to KLAS-TV. The people inside feared a home invasion and heard a knock on the front door before police arrived.
Lombardo said assisting units arrived and one of them deployed a K-9, which stopped 20-year-old Clemon Hudson, who was armed with a shotgun, from fleeing.
Police established a perimeter and began looking for the second person believed to be involved in the shooting, Lombardo said.

It wasn’t immediately clear if the man’s injury was a gunshot, dog bite or other wound, Sheahan said.
