Mets’ Cespedes hit in hand by pitch, leaves game

Cespedes has a contusion (and probably a bit of swelling) on his left middle and ring fingers.

Since joining the Mets at the trade deadline, Cespedes has been one of the best hitters in baseball. He was replaced by Ruben Tejada. Matz is expected to be part of the Mets’ rotation in the NL Division Series against the Dodgers.
