Mets’ Collins taken for tests, misses Sunday’s Brewers game
After a hospital visit that forced him to miss Sunday’s game vs the Milwaukee Brewers, New York Mets manager Terry Collins will return to action Tuesday vs the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Trainer Ray Ramirez will remain in Milwaukee with Collins as the Mets, who do not play on Monday, return to NY.
A source said Collins felt lightheaded before he was attended to by team trainers and the Brewers’ on-site doctor, who suggested he undergo tests. The skipper was to be taken to Froedert Hospital in nearby Wauwatosa. Collins had not been feeling well prior to the Mets game with the Brewers. “But other than that, he’s feeling fine”.
Bench coach Dick Scott managed the team Sunday.
NY couldnt overcome three errors, including throwing miscues during run-scoring innings for the Brewers in second and fifth. Milwaukee starter Zach Davies threw a gem. Will Smith finished the inning without further damage, but it took a nice catch from Ryan Braun on a liner by nearly Brewer Wilmer Flores in left. Earlier, in the third frame, Aaron Hill was ruled out at home for sliding over – and not actually touching – the plate, costing the Brewers a run.
Jeremy Jeffress earned his 18th save, allowing one hit and striking out two in the ninth.
Davies’ aggressive approach on the mound has made the Milwaukee Brewers almost unbeatable when he takes the hill.
Davies kept his poise after loading the bases in first with one out. According to the team, he would stay in the hospital overnight for more tests and observations before being released.

The parade of former Met relievers continued in the eighth, with Carlos Torres relieving Boyer, and promptly giving up a double to pinch hitter Juan Lagares, and an RBI single by Curtis Granderson. While Collins was in the hospital the Mets have suffered defeat at the hands of the Brewers with a 5-3 loss. Jacob deGrom (3-2) gets the start with a full week of rest. The Brewers will head west to begin a road trip tomorrow night, they take on the San Francisco Giants.
