Mexican President Defends Trump Meeting, Accidentally Creates #HillaryTrump Trending Topic

President Enrique Pena Nieto levied heavy criticisms at Donald Trump following the Republican nominee’s visit to Mexico Wednesday, calling some of his policies a “risk” that “must be confronted”.

America’s Latino community is turning its back on Donald Trump after his fiery immigration speech yesterday in Phoenix.

In tweets, the Mexican president said this in a tweet in Spanish: “At the beginning of the conversation with Donald Trump I made it clear that Mexico will not pay for the wall”. “That will be for a later date”.

But Trump’s proposed discontinuation of the amnesty programmes that allow “illegal aliens” to remain in the U.S. legally, will be alarming particularly for those people who have lived in the United States for years and have established families, jobs and lives there. Anyone who enters the country illegally would be detained and held until they’re returned to their country of origin.

“He promised us a compassionate, realistic way of dealing with the non-criminals, and he didn’t deliver”, said Monty, who is a labor, employment, and immigration lawyer in Texas.

The reason that Trump decided to make this change?

Wisely, he did not do this speech before his trip to Mexico, because I can promise you probably would have ended a little bit differently for him, but this campaign has gotten so sick and disgusting with this fear, this hatred of immigrants.

He repeated that he told Trump in person that Mexico would “in no way” pay for the proposed border wall.

More than 6,000 supporters were inside the Convention Centre to listen to Trump amid heavy security.

President Enrique Peña Nieto received backlash for not standing up to Trump about the payment of the wall. What was lost in the tough talk of Trump’s speech, Giuliani said, is that the billionaire former reality TV star doesn’t want to separate families by mass deportations and there are “other options”.

Trump again vowed that Mexico would pay for construction of a “great border wall” between the two countries.

Later in Phoenix, Trump said: “We will issue detainers for illegal immigrants who are arrested for any crime whatsoever and they will be placed into immediate removal proceedings”.

After realizing that 77 percent of Americans are vehemently against his plan to deport the 11 million-plus undocumented immigrants in the USA, the Donald Trump campaign set out to soften its stance. But on Wednesday, the Mexican president’s tone shifted, appearing grateful that Trump accepted his invitation to speak with him in Mexico. “Every single immigrant coming across that border wants to kill you, so you’ve got to elect me so I can build that wall and stop them”.
