But the goal wasn’t all about Messi, as Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero chipped in with a peach of an assist.

It was a masterful 80 minutes from Mexico, keeping Argentina off the scoresheet for a majority of the game while absorbing large amounts of pressure.
Though Mexico wasn’t able to get a win, Chicharito believes the result should provide a boost ahead of an October playoff against the United States to decide CONCACAF’s Confederations Cup place. He will continue to show up for the national team and play for Argentina.
