To help push the film in China, Paramount enlisted Alibaba Pictures group as a co-financier.

Rogue Nation’s opening-day take of $18.5 million is 116 percent ahead of the first-day gross of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, which earned north of $100 million in China.

Even though film audiences nowadays have been spoiled by spectacular action scenes and incredible visual effects, Cruise believes that audiences will find the authentic stunts performed in the new film arresting and thrilling.

“How can a man be this handsome?” “You know, I’m considered the most ugly [sic] and unique looking person in China”, Massachusetts joked.
