The Miami Dolphins keep overhauling this coaching staff. They’ve just fired Offensive Coordinator Bill Lazor.

“On Monday, head coach Todd Bowles said he didn’t think Pryor was celebrating Tannehill’s injury and that the rift between Pryor and Tannehill was “… just miscommunication”.
Taylor is in his fourth season with the Dolphins and his third as the team’s quarterbacks coach, having been named to that position on January 30, 2013.
Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw for 351 yards and three touchdowns in the defeat but all three scores and 238 of his yards came after the Jets took a 21-0 lead.
The Dolphins gained some offensive traction late in the fourth, with Tannehill finding Greg Jennings for a 5-yard score.
“We played more basic on defense”, said Bowles.
The Dolphins finally scored on their next possession, but the Jets responded with a 10-play, 79-yard march down the field, Marshall rising above Grimes for a 3-yard touchdown that extinguished whatever infinitesimal hope Miami had of staging a comeback. We hurt ourselves a little bit at times with penalties, but we just kept grinding.
“It’s hugely disappointing”, Tannehill said of Miami’s season. The Dolphins have 218 rushing attempts this season (lowest in the NFL), but the team is averaging 4.6 yards per carry (tied for the sixth-best in the NFL). The long throw of the day was a 47 yard catch from Marshall.
The Jets (6-5) won the game 38-20 to complete a season sweep over the Dolphins (4-6). Fitzpatrick then used a mix of passes and a scramble to get the Jets to the two-yard line before hitting Eric Decker for his third touchdown pass.
Although Brandon Marshall’s breakout game – he had two TD receptions as part of a nine-catch, 131-yard performance – and Devin Smith’s first touchdown catch of his career will serve as further individual takeaways from the game, none of it would be possible without a strong showing from the Jets offensive line. On Sunday, the Dolphins ran the ball a total of nine times.
Jets cornerback Marcus Williams injured a knee on his interception of Tannehill in the opening quarter and was questionable. “I thought we’d get more than 12, but we knew it was a good rush defense team and they did a good job”.

Campbell said the decision was entirely his, but he consulted with owner Stephen Ross and executive vice president of football operations Mike Tannenbaum before making the move. It’s good to be playing for something meaningful and have a chance to do something, but we’re day-by-day, one game a time.
